Not ripe!

There have been plenty of ripe blackberries around our fields, but these are not yet ready, and will need some more sunshine to turn black!
We (dog and I) had to take our walk just before lunchtime today (although we'd had a short one earlier) and the mist had all but cleared as the sun broke through. It was really quite hot! It was still summery trudging through the long grass, insects buzzing in the still, warm air.
The sloes are also ripening, and elderberries look ready now.
We met one or two other dogs, tongues hanging out.
It was a delightful walk!
