Stamp End

This street sign is on an old, now closed down gents toilet along the riverside. I'm assuming the toilet was for the convenience of anglers...not sure what they would do now. Or what the female anglers would have done before, come to that!

Apparently the name Stamp End dates from the Early Modern Era (1400 - 1800), and means the "place by the weir". The Graffiti Stickers are considerably newer!
