US Open

I bit the bullet and bought a last minute ticket to the US Open quarter finals Murray v Djokovic. And I am so glad I did. It took me all afternoon to make the decision; I had two friends who already had tickets and was only going to be able to get a seat along the row from them, and it was just under $100. But luckily there were plenty of spare seats so we sat together and 3 more friends from the new intake came and joined us.

It's fair to say we were pretty lucky with the players we got to see, Serena Williams and Djokovic who are both current world no.1's, and of course Andy Murray. Serena finished off her match in pretty impressive fashion but due to previous games running over Murray didn't come on until 10pm.

It was a fantastic game and very evenly matched, spreading across 4 sets and almost 4 hours, but unfortunately Djokovic remained victorious.
