I took some time to stroll about downtown whilst Em was at school today. It was market day so the little cobbled streets were bustling with people perusing the produce and goods for sale. I was pleased to see that the town hasn't lost it's small store charm to the advance of the homogenous high street. There are even some new arrivals including an old fashioned sweet shop, and a couple more tea rooms and hair salons. Actually whilst walking about I formed the opinion that the primary function of the town must now be for women to get their hair done either before or after a cup of tea/coffee.
