Here are local Cardiff police constables Gareth (the grumpy one) & Huw (the cheerful one) wearing their now familiar powder blue NATO 'Heddlu/Police' baseball caps, guarding the Queen Street branch of Caffè Nero.

Apparently, all the police officers on service at the NATO Summit (from Forces all over the UK) wear these baseball caps to show that they're all part of the same "Unit", however, an undisclosed source tells me that when the original requisition was approved only 10% of these caps were meant to be 'baby blue' (for police liaison officers only) with the remaining 90% being black for PC's - someone made a massive 'cock up' & thousands (90%) of blue ones were bought!?!
