What is a pound?

Apart from the monetary stuff what else is this?

Well today I was without one of these at the supermarket car park that needs one for parking. Strange but true, but this place does refund you once you have spent.

No pound and credit card bit of machine was not working.

Then a lady gave me a pound to help me out. Wow. I was totally taken aback. I offered to get her a pound after my shop but that was not necessary.

Amazing and tweaked my day into the happy scale.

So today the coin was more than just a pound :))

(Back at home, we found this one yesterday on the lawn and looks like the lawnmower had been over it.)
