On the beach

I'm at the Agile On The Beach conference in Falmouth. The conference itself is not on the beach, but at the Penryn campus of the local university. I've been a few times before, but this year it's bigger than ever and the uni is struggling to cope with the basics - running out of beer at the bar; feeding everyone at lunchtime; remembering that there was a reason for asking delegates for their dietary restrictions.

It's still a great conference and tonight was the party, which is on the beach. Pulled pork, crackling and vegetarian stuffing - lovely, but once again, glad I'm not a veggie.

Apparently, it was a warm, sunny day (I wouldn't know, I was in the conference), but the nights can get quite chilly on the beach. Not last night. There were people paddling in the dark - some getting so adventurous that their shorts got wet. No one counted the numbers in and out, so I hope we didn't lose anyone.
