Bamboo Sculpture.

Today is my nephew Nick's birthday, and as he is a sculptor, I thought he might like to see one.

This is actually in Helensvale Library but it is connected to another one at the Swell Festival at Currumbin Beach. The idea is to connect the north and south of the Gold Coast by these two sculptures.

It is by an artist called Georges Cuvillier's, who is Belgian and it is called Tunnel van de Liefde or Tunnel of Love.

It is enormous!! And was very hard to photograph at the library and make it look anything.

The Swell Festival has been going for 12 years now, and Nick did exhibit for a couple of years, so I know he will be interested.

There is some beautiful work there this year, and the fascinating thing is the sculptures look just as good at night time. Sometimes better, than they do during the day.
