Adaptation

In our village there is a real sense of the the old having to adapt to the new. The old wooden buildings are patched, plastered, modernised to meet the needs and tastes of modern lifestyles. Given the long winters at this altitude, the window of opportunity to make these renovations is a limited one. This one has kept its simplicity and its beautiful old beams.
Two weeks into my new job, I "the old" am having to adapt to the job"the new". It is giving me new challenges to face.
