The Big Outdoors
Benelia came to visit and completely made my day. She bought me beautiful roses, cake and new wool and needles. We had lunch and then she bravely pushed me to look at the sea in my newly rented wheelchair. I was like an old lady but it gave her a good workout! Will was in charge of photos and took this, it was a lovely outing. First time I have been anywhere that is not a hospital or doctors surgery in two weeks. It is very easy to see how you can get completely isolated when you can't get about under your own steam.
After she left I looked for a new knitting project. I am an impatient, easily distracted and careless knitter but I have found a marvellous pattern which requires the exact level of attention I have available so have spent a peaceful knitting afternoon. I was instantly attracted to the pattern, it's called Black Death and was written by a woman when she was sofa and house bound with a serious leg infection. Happily, I am infection free but I thought it all very appropriate.
AND I made a shepherds pie for tea. It has been a Very Busy Day as I told my boss when he rang for a chat to see how I was. Currently I feel like my day is like when I had very small babies, everything takes ages, you are forced to sit down a lot and every new thing is a cause for celebration.
Enjoy your Friday evenings blip buddies x
