Lunchtime

Out of Muscat with a day trip to Sur. It is a two hour drive down the coast but it took me four as I stopped off in quite a few places for a short wonder before the heat drove me back into the car.

Managed quite a few blippable shots but chose this one. Omani Dhows are not just for tourists they are for making a living. And Sur is where they are built though only one boatyard left.

As well as Dhows and fishing, there is a beach just south of Sur where turtle come ashore to lay their egge. I'll save that one for sometime in the future. Had a thoroughly enjoyable few hours in Sur. Good to be a tourist sometimes.

I went inland for the return journey. A lot of desert.
