Went up to St Andrews Square this morning to hear Billy Bragg give a speech outside RBS (Royal Bank of Scotland) headquarters. He had his speech written out but scarcely needed to refer to it. It was perishing cold but between thirty and fifty hardy souls stood to hear him. He was articulate and humorous as ever and didn't let himself slip into ranting mode at all. The Beeb had a piece about it up on their website very quickly here.
Walked back through the New Town down to Canonmills then along the cycle track to join the Water of Leith path. Very quiet on the wildlife front - although we did spot a couple of anglers! Wonder if they caught anything, and if so, what?
