The Nose That Knows!

Brambie has lost her hearing perhaps 99% but other than that her senses seem very good. She sees quite well though her eyes look a little milky, her sense of touch is still there-she doesn't like going in puddles or treading on spiky thistles ;-( Her sense of taste is debatable as she basically eats anything that's offered and a lot that certainly isn't!!!


But her nose.......well it certainly works very hard. She's always on the sniff for the next vaguely edible morsel and recently, as she's become unable to tell if we're in the house or not when we're not in her line of vision, she has been using her nose to detect when we're approaching even when we really think she's asleep, she can detect if we're standing in front of her. How clever.......and no we don't smell too bad ;-)
They always say your other senses compensate for any you lack, I think this must be right!
