Robust Surf

The red flags are out cautioning beachcombers not to go out into the surf. The lifeguards tell us that a man drowned yesterday swimming out to rescue his kid who was pulled out on a rip tide. Here K and three of her cousins vacationing with us are challenging the surf up to their knees. I shot this with Dogwoodpuddle's (now his wife's) Lumix camera. He's now the proud owner of a Nikon D40x which his wife bought him for his 50th birthday. I'm trying to convince him of the benefits of shooting RAW, but he's still learning the buttonology and menus of the camera. I'm expecting great things.
