Jack

This gentleman is my stepfather. He and his first wife introduced my mom & dad on a blind date in 1951. After families & time, the deaths of my dad in 1972 & Jacks wife many years later, my mom & Jack met again and married each other when they were 83 years old (I had the thrill of being my mother's matron of honor). They had a really nice 8 years before my mom developed Alzheimer's and needed nursing care. She passed 2 years ago this month. I visited Jack today on his 96th birthday. He ,again, shared stories of WW II, apologized for not having a lot to share (he is in a rehab after fracturing his hip) and,as always, told stories about my mom(the woman , his wife). He knew a part of her that I never knew.
Nice guy. So glad that I have had the chance to know him and call him part of my family. Say a prayer for him.
