black and white at the beach

Trying to do the dps photography challenge and take photos set on the black and white setting of the camera proved harder that it looked. Everything looked grey no matter how I changed the other settings. What looked good on the viewfinder didn't look so good on the computer. However with some contrast post processing I managed this. The light on the grasses is what saves it- I think.
Stephens Bay has black and grey sand and there is a small creek that runs down to the tide which was out.
