I've gone from reading 'The English Patient' to Philip Roth , then back to Ondaatjie with the 'Cats Table' . A delightful fiction, fable,semi-autobiography tale of a sea voyage . As my taste for literature seems active and in a concerted effort to be more socially engaged I've booked to hear Val McDermid & Will Self who's verbal fireworks I enjoy.
