Up a ladder

Today I spent most of the day up a ladder painting this ceiling. It used to be dark wood and everybody who stayed there complained that it made the room too dark , so finally I gave in and three coats later, this is the result.
I don't like it. I like the fact that it makes the room so much lighter, but I think it's too shiny. Now the question is a) does it matter in the grand scheme of things? answer- No, and b) will it annoy me every time I go back into that room? Answer - yes!
So I'm going back up my ladder for another 5 hours tomorrow!
