took advantage of being in london to see some friends. they made me nice stew and then i walked back to the hotel. crossing the bridge near where they live i took this, then heading on "home" past st. pauls and along fleet street to the strand. there were lots of other photo ops. and i should've bought my big camera, but would i really have taken it out to take photos, cold, tipsy and scared what might happen to my camera in the capital at night? probably! :-)

getting back to the hotel, i found my colleagues just returning and so we visited the hotel bar for a nightcap. it was a fun evening, with a strange, surly waiter and very overpriced drinks! :-)
