Coffee Break

Taken during a coffee break (one of many) in La Piazza della Rotonda - and looking towards The Pantheon.

The original use of the Pantheon is somewhat unknown, except that is was classified as a temple. It exists today in such amazing form because the emperor Phocas gave it to Pope Boniface the VIII in A.D 608 and it has been used as a Roman Catholic church ever since - being dedicated to "St. Mary and the Martyrs".
This amazing building has been in use since the time it was built.
