Dreaming of summer

This yucca looks quite out of place, even more so on a dreich, wet, grey Stornoway Saturday. Nonetheless, it is there, on the seafront. When the mild days of summer are here, it will be there, reminding us of the warm Gulf Stream which has permitted its survival through winter.
