ELSA'S BELLS

The colour of this heather, with its bright pink bells and shocking black stamens, reminded me of Elsa Schiaparelli and her wonderful creations. And that brought to mind the sadness of Alexander McQueen's sudden death. His friends said they would be taking comfort from the thought he had been reunited with his mentor Isabella Blow. That's a nice thought.

Flowers, like friends, are such an inspiration. They make my heart sing.
