Cowgate Street
Up early to catch the 8:30 train from Wolverhampton to Edinburgh.
Upon arrival, at about 12:30 we headed straight to our hotel on Cowgate Street. The hotel itself is very pleasant and has the well known bar Three Sisters attached to it. Its a very lively place with lots of very cool features and fortunately for us our room is on the back, so when we do want to sleep its nicely quiet.
After dropping the bags off we headed out into the city for a stroll around and a quick bite to eat as we were off to meet my parents and sister for a proper evening meal later.
I do love Edinburgh as it has so much to offer, even with its gazillion tourists it is still wonderful to just walk around and not have a care in the world. Many bright colours walk the streets of grey buildings that are hundreds and hundreds of years old.
There are quite a few Scots that want to be independent from England and with the Scottish referendum in less than two weeks they may get it, but I'm sure I'll still enjoy visiting this place every bit as much if they do become their own nation.
Lots to see and do so will catch you all as soon as I can
Mr Bo Hingles
