Fog in the channel, continent cut off

One wonders how our European partners feel when they lose that reassuring sight of this royal throne of kings, this scepter'd isle, on the horizon.

If I win the lottery my plan is to get the whole island towed somewhere warmer; possibly near Lanzerote, so that should please the Mayor of Calais. He's threatening to close his port because of the immigrants who congregate there. My main concern about this is the distribution of labour - I always thought that French fishermen and farmers were the ones who closed the ports......
