Gloucester City

My intention today was to visit the sculptures in and around Gloucester Cathedral as well as explore the outdoor stands commemorating the siege of Gloucester. My tour reminded me of both the amazing history with which Gloucester is associated as well as some of the splendid ways in which this is carried out.

On my tour of the sculptures, I became distracted by the impressive stained glass window unveiled in March this year to commemorate the life of Ivor Gurney, the celebrated Gloucestershire poet and the Start of World War I.

This evening you see just half of this window and I shall blip the other half tomorrow.
