Railway Station

Bristol Temple Meads, the main railway station in Bristol. Built by Isambard Kingdom Brunell for his Great Western Railway. Even though it as been extend many times, Brunel's terminus is no longer part of the operational station.

The name comes from the near by Temple Church (bombed during WW2) and Meads comes from the word mæd, the local variation of the old English mædwe (meadow), which where found by the river Avon.
