Hello Lake Iseo!
A beautiful day, cruising around Lake Iseo...
First stop was Lovere at the northern tip of the lake, with time for lunch by the water, followed by a wander around the narrow streets of the medieval town.
Then back on board to sail south to Monte Isola, Italy's largest lake island, with a population of approximately 1800 people, living in the 11 " hamlets" dotted around the island. After landing, I took the lake side path, through olive groves, past peach orchards and grape and kiwi fruit vines, to Peschiera Maraglio, a small fishing village with pretty traditional houses on the lake front, and the perfect spot to stop for my daily Prosecco!
Blue skies, towering mountains and a sparkling lake by day, Pizza, Tiramisu and Prosecco by night; what more could you wish for?!
