Ballet buddies

4years 320days

Ballet was back this morning!! It was nice to not be rushing quite so much and actually drive to ballet! Katie was very very excited to be back and skipped up the path. She played with her wee friend while we waited for ballet to start, prancing round the studio. She had a fantastic time in class and came out full of it. We watched rehearsals with some of the bigger girls as they were going to be performing this afternoon. The girls claimed tiaras that the girls were going to be wearing and wore them most of the day.

We took her little friend with us and walked into the city centre as theres a weekend long arts festival, which is what the seniors were dancing at. We got a picnic lunch, which we ended up eating in the backstage area for the dancers. They did a contemporary, the adult tap group danced and some of the soloists did competition pieces. Katie and her friend danced along to most of the pieces! As part of the festival, there are pianos around the city. They enjoyed the piano in the picture by the marina after the dancing. They then spent half an hour on an inflatable slide. They were hilarious every time they came down it. They made dream catchers at the craft area, watched some steel drums and tried to figure out some art installations - upturned trolleys rather confused them. We went back to dance to drop her friend off and headed home. We had to make a pit stop at the supermarket - most of Mummy's shoes have fallen apart the last week! Slippers and shoes purchased, we headed home to snuggle with the Great British Bake Off on the iPad. After which Katie "baked" dark chocolate and melon water cake in her toy kettle. As you do.

Thanks for all the love for yesterday's blip! xx
