Boulangerie

This is Madeleine - a French restaurant and boulangerie in Dubai Mall where we decided to have lunch today. Haven't been here in ages and wondering why! It is most pleasant during the day when it is flooded with light; has an outdoor terrace which overlooks the fountain, but despite the large portable air-conditioners, we didn't sit out as it is still way too hot. I had an omelette in a croissant which was amazing and G had a croquet monsieur but none of the foodie pics are blip material.

Prior to that, I have sorted out my cheque book problem (the solution was to open a whole new account) and the rent has been paid (yay!) with only a 10% increase! Since winning the bid to host Expo 2020, landlords have been raising rents by as much as they want, so 10% is apparently not bad.

Wasn't able to get my air-conditioner seen to sadly as the technician couldn't give a time, so we got on with the day. Had just ordered lunch when he called to say he was downstairs! Think I am ready for a new week. I didn't wake up with quite as much pain as the past two days. Hoping it stays like that from now on...
