they told us it's never too early to start thinking about your dissertation subject, but to be honest I think 'before the first lecture' might be just somewhat too early.

good things: directed to the most incredible organic vegetarian grocery shop. between that and the English Market I will be twice my size and broke by the end of this year. found a few more of the restaurants/cafés/bars my friends have recommended. bought a basil plant.

so far Cork mainly seems to be about food.

I'm putting away the handbook now and in a little while I'm having a gin and tonic out of a purple goblet. I think that may fall under the general category of food also, though.
