Perfect day
It was my Dad's birthday so I had invited him down to spend the day with me in London. After meeting him at the station we started with lunch on Exmouth Market and then headed down to the river. We had tickets for the Shard so after a nice walk we were soon whizzing up to the 72nd floor. I'd been before but my Dad's face when he first saw the view was priceless. We spent quite a while taking it all in and the weather was much better than the last time I'd been. We then walked along to the Tower of London to see the poppies which were breathtaking in their scale and sentiment.
A quick bus ride across town to Covert Garden and we stopped for a quick pint and some dinner. We were then on to our last stop of the day and the grand finale - The Commitments. My Dad and I had always loved the film and the music so I knew we were in for a good night. The show was a amazing and we were up of our feet dancing and singing. It was a brilliant end to a brilliant day.
