Ready for Action

Mia joined a soccer team this fall with her friend from preschool. She doesn't know how to play. She's never even seen a game!. BUT we read the book, "Mia Hamm: Winners Never Quit." And since her name is Mia, she thinks she should be a great soccer player. Only problem being that she doesn't really like to play with balls or run around too much. But she's a clever girl and she found a solution. If she stands in the goal, the ball will come to her! Seems like a good plan to me. And look, she even has her game face on. Occasionally she punches her fist for effect. I'm pretty sure she's halfway to being a star (if not a drama star.)
