The Highest
Today I climbed Carrauntoohil (Irish: Corrán Tuathail) the highest peak in Ireland, which is 1,041 metres (3,415 ft) above sea level. It was a huge cimb and but for the lovely Ray I would never have made it, he literally talked me up, never letting me stop to think about how badly I was struggling! We had blue skies to start, but the clouds blew in just as we got close to the top. This gives a me the shivers; to think that I actually did it!
To some it was a tough enough stroll but for me it was MOUNTAINEERING!
