Sourdough Saturday

This is my second-ever batch of sourdough bread, made with a sourdough culture provided by my German friend (and experienced sourdough baker), Claudia. My first attempt last weekend was a little flat and pale but the culture seemed to wake up and go for it this week and I am quite pleased with these! It took much of Saturday for the dough to do its stuff and as I took these out of the oven 15 minutes before midnight, it was a close run thing whether his would be my blipfoto for Saturday or Sunday!
