Aythya fuligula

The boating pond at Rouken Glen Park has a large group of Tufted Ducks just now, and they were pretty nifty at nicking the bread we were offering to the swans at the unfrozen area of the pond.

They're the duck which most reminds me of Daffy Duck, I suppose. Besides being mostly black, they do seem to have a permanently shocked expression.
