Autumn Gold in Fenland

Autumn is definitely on its way - pumpkins in the fields, and still 7 weeks to hallowe'en.
I saw a beet ramp full of harvested sugar beet too - can't remember ever seeing that so early before - it will have to stay there at least another 3 weeks as the sugar beet processing 'campaign' doesn't usually start until October. A lovely September day today and the fens looked beautiful.
