Was invited to Emily’s belated birthday picnic. Her friends were super nice. It was a nice chilled day, of sun and throwing this little guy about in a game of catch for a bit, since we neglected to bring any balls.

James and Tim blew up a few balloons for her which we ended up giving away to any curious toddlers who wandered by. I think words escape them sometimes when they see something they want, it’s always the same meaningful stare: ‘I’ll pick this up and stare at you adorably until you give it me, because that has a 100% success rate.’
