Stopped off in Stirling on the way up the road today on the day the Independence Referendum appears to have taken off. Bannockburn is of course close by ..

Generally we drive past Stirling at 70mph but ambled up to the castle today which was full of tourists and coach parties . Struck me that there is a lot to see in our country if we take the time to look - I can't remember the last time I'd been at Stirling Castle - probably when I was at primary school .

Robert the Bruce stands guard over the castle - not sporting a " Yes " or " Aye " T shirt yet though.
