The Copper Family -folk singers.

Great day out!

Open Day at Oldland Mill, near Brighton, and a first chance for me to see/hear the Copper Family sing.

They've been going for several generations and have done much to preserve folk music. They're singing about a way of life that has all but disappeared, but Sussex is a rural county, and you can still visit villages which look as if they haven't changed for years. Dedicated people are restoring mills, including this one, to working order. Lovely countryside, good music (four bands, all very different) and ... a sausage sandwich. What more can you ask?
