Katie in London
After the success of the previous book trail, I decided to take both children into London to do the City Trail, before the benches disappear next weekend.
We started at London Bridge, so Carys got to see Clarice Bean and Dr. Seuss, before we walked over Tower Bridge to the Tower of London. We had a good look and a talk about the poppies. They are an amazing and thought provoking sight and were almost my blip.
Then we started on the trail and found our first bench, Katie in London. This was our favourite bench and so it is my blip. We wandered all over the city, which was quiet because it was Sunday. The children walked miles. They have been promised Mary Poppins as our next family film after wandering round St. Paul's with Mummy embarrassing them singing 'Feed the Birds.'
Back home Will was showered and in bed pretty quickly. Over night he will change from a pre-schooler to a school boy and he is so excited about it.
I left Jim to sort out Carys's bedtime and went out for a spin on Ruby. I loved it, although it is a different beast, will take some getting used to. There were some expletives and I did scare myself a couple of times, but that will only get better. Hills I have previously struggled to get up were gone without me really realising I was going up hill. this bike could be fun.
