bright sunshine

after yesterday's dark and dismal weather today was just beautiful.

This morning we had the last band practice in Wilsden Village Hall where the band has rehearsed since it was re formed in 1981. It was the first practice after the summer break and the following two Sundays we are playing at the two local village shows. As we are without conductor until the new partnership begins Mr h kindly agreed ( was nagged into) to be the musical director this morning. We then held a Extraordinary General Meeting so that we could officially change the band name. Obviously the band bank accounts need changing, and the charity commission need to be informed etc, so it had to be done formally.

We then nipped home, picked up Reggie, who had been well behaved unlike yesterday evening when he'd eaten 5 eggs and most of the egg box off the kitchen bench, and took him to the tail end of the Airedale Terrier meet at Saltaire. 48 Airedales had done the walk, so with us there had been 49 there in total. I got very broody over the puppies!

Then once we were home Miss H came over with Angus and her suitcase, as she and Mr H are flying off on holiday together tonight. I don't have enough leave left from work to go with them so I am at home with the boys.

So frustrated that I couldn't go to the blipmeet at Dalton Mills today with Chrysanthemum, Lovelupins, Midgehole dave, fotojunci and onedavid, but it looks from their photo's as though they had a great morning.
