Mooncakes

#2 brought these back from Singapore yesterday. Delivered in a very classy box. The writing on the pastry top says where they were made and what is inside them. These are filled with Lotus Seed Paste. The long thin box gold box at the left side has a knife and utensils for eating the cakes.

These are traditionally eaten at the Chinese mid-Autumn Festival. They are quite large, to be cut into wedges and shared with family, accompanied with Chinese Tea. Currently in the fridge, to be shared out soon.

Ch's adventures continued today. Due to car breakdown, CJ had to drive all the way to Oxford, to collect her and belongings from several locations, and then begin the drive north. They are staying overnight with my sister in Yorkshire, before heading on to Edinburgh tomorrow. She begins her Masters course on Wednesday.

I spent the day with two jet-lagged sons, interesting the differing effects of travelling east and west. I once heard West is Best, East is Beast - I think #1 would agree.
