The Forth Road Bridge

This is the Flotilla on the Forth today organised to celebrate the Forth Road Bridge's 50th birthday. 1964 - a good year for some! Despite the views to the right being much more picturesque, I couldn't really snub this bridge :-)

It's interesting, this blip shows both the past and future for Scotland. The old bridge and beginnings of a new bridge, the Jacobite Rising battles in the Ochils in the background and the shipbuilding where there may well be battleships to come... or not!
