Ciww paddle fest! Some friends and I headed up to the course today to join in the fun. It was a beautiful day and was great watching all kinds of people paddle. I went on alone and totally freaked out but by some miracle of god made it down alive. I also raced in what's called the ducky derby, where everyone gets into these big inflatable boats and bounces around an tries to knock everyone else out. I hung back, fully content with losing, but everyone was wiped out in the first half and I came third!! In the evening we went back to my friends for a bbq and drinking :) Overall, it was a great day.
