Beautiful Curves

There is something about the engineered curved surfaces mankind has invented to make use of air and water flows that I find very beautiful. The wing of an aeroplane has that wonderfully smooth upper surface, optimised to generate lift, the curves on the hull of a ship, to reduce drag.

The curves are not easy to make, especially the ones that curve in two directions at the same time and yet with some clever processes we can create these wonderful shapes to make us fly.
