CLOSE UP

The European garden spider, diadem spider, cross spider, or cross orbweaver (Araneus diadematus).

I took this photo with my Android Camera Phone held against a backwards facing Nikon 28mm Lens - Hence the magnification. This was VERY brave for me as I have a terrible fear of spiders. These ones don't scare me as much as bigger house spiders, but I had to take it from the other side of the window, none-the-less.
