1001 challenge; mono. Circuit shopping
This is only one of the many fresh herbs that you can buy in Aldi (other supermarkets are available).
I do the Aldi run this morning while Anniemay is galavanting round the gym. Among the fruit and veggies is a special purchase - the like of which I have never seen before. I commented a few weeks ago about the set of 1m long masonry drill bits on offer; this beats that.
For just £89.99 you can have your very own wood-turning lathe. I don’t suppose many people have them on their shopping list. I don’t. But I guess someone might - otherwise why would they sell them?
Anniemay comes back from the gym buzzing like a hyperactive fly in a jam jar. Not content with me doing the Aldi run she has her own a list; “it’s my target to do it all” By ‘my’ she really means ‘our’.
This involves a 10 mile loop round Milton Keynes, starting with Boots, then Costco, Rohan, dry-cleaners, bike shop and library before finally finishing at the Out-Door shop. It takes over 2 hours. By car. This is what happens when you live in a City designed when petrol was cheap.
When we get back she lays on the lawn taking endless pictures of the sky. I assume that’s what’s she’s doing. I meanwhile blip the Basil plant I bought this morning and have a snooze.
