First day of school.
This photo was sent to me today, my grandson's first day of school. It was sent along with this poem:
MY BABYS A BIG BOY!
He's fought so hard, the battles he's won,
They said there were things that couldn't be done!
Would he sit? Roll over, or walk,
They weren't sure he'd ever talk!
But not not my boy he smashed they're lists, and every target he quickly hit!
Now another!
His first day of term, first day of school with lots to learn!
And how did he take it? Did he cry? Not my Dylan he strolled on by,
Passed his mummy, and daddy to, into his classroom he quickly flew!
Now I think it's daddy's turn,
to be a brave daddy and let him learn.
I've got to let my baby go and be the big boy and watch him grow.
It's gonna be hard at first I'd wager,
Letting him go my little soldier,
But I know he's hardy and made of good stuff and I'll always be there if things get too rough!
I had to say it brought a tear to my eye! So proud of all my children and grandchildren .
