Spent today at Oxford Brookes University with colleagues who have an interest in researching the institutions in which they work. The highlight of the day was provided by Professor Alan Smeaton (@asmeaton) who presented on the use of predictive data analytics and their application in terms of supporting students at risk of dropping out.

Tonight we headed into town for dinner at the Randolph Hotel, a place made famous by the Inspector Morse TV series. No dead Americans on my visit, however, there were plenty of tourists enjoying the 'Morse Bar'!
