Love is perfect.

Today is Valentine's day. The one day of the year on which people show their love for each other. Personally I think it's a bit stupid that people make a big deal out of it one day a year! It should be done every day! But hey, that's just my opinion.

But. My reason for this post is not to moan about Valentine's Day.

My reason is to talk about a greater love than we could ever have. It's about the love that God has for has, the love that He wants to share with us every day. The gift of love that He gave to us when He sent us His one and only son.

A love that is "patient, a love that is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres" - 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
A love that is devotion. A love that is trust. A love that is friendship.

When we have the love of God in our hearts and we receive and share His love, we start to bring it into our relationships. It is a love that relationships should be founded on.

1 Corinthians 13:13 says "And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love."

The greatest of these is love. The love for each other, the love for God, and God's love for us.
